Lost Goldmine Trail
Hieroglyphics TH to Carney Springs Trail
On February 10, 2024 Kim and I “eased” into hiking in the desert again by walking the Lost Goldmine Trail from the Hieroglyphics Trailhead to the Carney Springs Trail (nearly to where it goes to the Wave Cave). This trail is relatively flat but provides some great views of cacti as well as the sides and peaks of Turk’s Head and Superstition Ridge. The day was rainy so there were not many others on the trail. We did, however, “meet” some cattle grazing in parts of the trail that were not in the Superstition Wilderness. This was a fun hike.
