Wanatee County Park

Southern Perimeter Trail I

While home to visit family, Cash and I walked a loop of trails at the Wanatee County Park. The loop started on the west side and roughly went along the southern perimeter before jumping on a bike trail and the road for a bit to hit the hiking trail along the ponds just north of Red Cedar Lodge. It was a nice walk through a variety of habitats. It was a bit disheartening to see the damage from the 2020 derecho, but that is nature. It will be fun to be back to hit some of the other trails.
