Summer 2019 Wind Roses for Chequamegon Bay

These data are from the United States Geologic Survey (USGS) from their Ashland Breakwater Light Station in the Chequamegon Bay. I downloaded data for wind speed and direction for the months May through August 2019. For this second analysis I wanted to look at the cumulative wind speed and direction for each of these months and compare them to see how the dominant wind shifted over the summer. What I found was that May had the strongest winds of all four, coming from predominantly the NE to ENE, shifting in June to slightly weaker winds, also predominantly from the NE. In July there was a shift to predominant winds coming from the SW to SSW, and in August the SW to WSW. I made similar style choices in these graphs as the first set, using the same theme but with a slightly different grid arrangement.
